Ipod Ad

After I used the refine edge tool to remove the girl from the original image and made the girl look like a shadow, I added the ipod and drew the headphones with the brush tool. Next, I used the palm tree brush and changed the colors and sizes to add to the background. Then, I found a brush that looked like a vortex and changed the color to orange to contrast my other colors. I added a gradient to the girl and I also added a gradient to the background to add a blended effect.

compositting with silhouettes

On this project, the hardest part for me was getting the gradient to look right with the blue bed room. The easiest part for me was adding in the text and changing the font and size.

Inner Child

To create this project, I started with the profile picture of myself and used the quick selection tool to remove myself from the background. Next, I found the background on google and dragged the image onto the background. I used the scale tool to size the image down. Then I used the transform tool to flip the image of myself because I thought it looked better when I faced the other way. I found the picture of the unicorn on google and once again used the quick selection tool to remove the image that I wanted to use. After placing the unicorn image in my sidewalk background and scaling it down, I used the skew tool to make the feet of the unicorn line up at the base of the sidewalk. I set the foreground color to black and used the opacity slider to make the unicorn appear as if it was my shadow. I also added a blur to the unicorn to make the image appear less sharp. Then, I used the brush tool and created the line between myself and the unicorn to add the the shadow effect. Lastly, I found a quote online about imagination. I thought this quote fit my image well because a unicorn is an imaginary animal.

Shadow Dancing

To create this image, I used many techniques. I used the magic wand to move the shadow image of the girl into larger image with the background. I then used the transform tool to scale the image down to the right size. I also used the transform tool to flip the image of the shadow horizontally. By using the opacity slider, I was able to make the shadow lighter. I then used the gaussian blur under the filter bar. Lastly, I used the soft-edged brush to create a shadow on the sidewalk and add a visual effect.
