Pop Art

Scrapbook

Source Images:

To create my scrapbook template, I used multiple images and used the transformation tool to resize and rotate them. I also used previous projects that I made including the picture frame and the polaroid frame. I found scrapbook stickers and words to place on my template as well. I also used the layers panel to order the layers on top of one another and I added a drop shadow to most of the images to create the effect of the images popping out from the page.

The techniques I used to create the photo with the frame around it include the rectangular marquee tool, the paint bucket tool, the gradient tool, changing the blending options, merging layers, and the polygonal lasso tool. I used the rectangular marquee tool to create the structure of the frame and used the paint bucket tool to fill it in with a darker brown color. I use the transformation tool to transform one side of the border and duplicate it to make another side. The gradient tool was used to add a highlight to make the reflection in the frame more noticeable. Lastly, the polygonal lasso tool was used to create the edges of the frame and make them look indented.

The techniques I used to create this image were to first create a layer and use the rectangular marquee tool and paint bucket tool to fill it with black. I used the background eraser tool to create the holes along the side. Then I used pictures that I took over spring break when we went to Galveston to fill the film space. I used the shear distort to create the effect on the film and added a drop shadow. Lastly, I used the transform tool to tilt the film at an angle.
